Four Legged Scholars LLC – Puppy Training – Salt Lake City
Are you frustrated because your puppy is pottying in your home? We understand, and we want you to have a peace with your puppy.
Let’s help you so that you can be accident free in your home.
There are many tips that will help you so that you can have success with housetraining during your puppy training. Salt Lake City owners will be happy to know it can be simple when they know what to do.
1.) Start by supervising your puppy. This means having your puppy on leash and within your sight at all times. If a leash doesn’t work, then block your puppy int0 the same room as you.
2.) If you need to leave the house you won’t be able to do puppy training. Salt Lake City has many places for errands for you run.
This is time to leave your puppy in his crate. Most puppies won’t go potty where they sleep. Have the crate small enough so that he has just enough room to stand up and lay down.
3.) Take your puppy out every hour to go potty. To have the most success we recommend taking him out on-leash during your puppy training. Salt Lake City owners may be tempted to let their puppies off leash before they potty.
Your puppy may find other fun things to do so staying on leash until he goes potty first is best.
4.) Immediately after your puppy goes potty, c/t (click and treat). You want to make sure your puppy gets a reward for choosing to potty outside.
5.) If your puppy has an accident in the house do NOT rub his nose in the urine and do NOT yell at him.
Instead, take your puppy immediately outside to see if he needs to potty more. Clean up the accident with Nature’s Miracle.
6.) Keep your puppy on strict feeding schedule to regulate his bowls.
If you need further help, we can help you with puppy training. Salt Lake City has many clients of ours that have gained peace with their puppies by using our services.
